In our hotel’s rustic and cozy cellar restaurant, our guests can enjoy countryside bistro-style dishes and Hungarian specialties. Our atmospheric Cellar Restaurant is the part of our family-owned hotel in Villánykövesd, located next to the historic cellar row, surrounded by the scenic Black Hill. Here you can enjoy traditional Hungarian flavours, local ingredients and the wines of our own Mokos Winery.
Our family-owned winery’s Villány wines and unique premium fruit wines can also be tasted at the restaurant, either with your meal or as part of a wine tasting experience.
Our cuisine combines regional Hungarian traditions with a contemporary bistro approach, creating a genuine taste of Southern Hungary in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Our Cellar Restaurant is an ideal venue in the Villány Wine Region for group dinners, wine dinners, private celebrations and special events. The atmospheric cellar provides a unique setting for groups of up to 80–100 guests, whether you are planning a relaxed group meal, a festive dinner or an evening programme.
We can help you create a complete experience for your group, combining dining, wine tasting and local programmes. Enjoy traditional Hungarian flavours, taste wines from our family-owned Mokos Winery and, if you wish, add live music or other authentic local experiences to your evening.

A’la carte
At our hotel’s à la carte restaurant, guests can choose from our menu. For walk-in visitors from the cellar row, we offer bistro-style dishes made from local ingredients and handcrafted burgers. These are available in our Sárga Ház Restaurant. We kindly ask you to book a table in advance if possible!

Our cellar restaurant is primarily reserved for hotel guests and half-board meals. However, if tables are available, we can also accommodate à la carte guests in the Cellar Restaurant.
Half board
Hotel guests can opt for half-board dining. Please indicate your half-board request during booking. All our package deals include half-board! For larger groups, we offer buffet-style meals; for smaller groups, ordering from a set menu is available.
A 10% service charge is added to the bill for dining in our restaurant, which is not included in the half-board price.
Wine dinners
During our wine dinners, we blend the local, authentic flavors of the wine region with the finest wines of our family winery, Mokos Winery. Meals are crafted to pair perfectly with the wines, offering a heartfelt, complex culinary experience to our guests! Wine dinner programs are available as part of certain package deals — e.g., St. Martin’s Weekend, Harvest Weekend on August 20th, Easter Long Weekend — for hotel guests, or upon individual request for a minimum of 6 people. Events
We host group events, birthdays, banquets, class reunions, and weddings. Our restaurant can accommodate 80–100 guests. Menu selection options include plated service, sharing platters, and buffets. Dinners can be combined with wine tasting programs, cellar tours, live music evenings, and team-building games. Upon request, we can also provide private rooms and a variety of beverage packages. Opening hours
Open to hotel guests on operational days: Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00, on other days from 12:00 to 21:00. (The kitchen closes 30 minutes earlier.)
Transportation
The restaurant is located in Villánykövesd, about 3–4 km from Villány. The train stop is just a 3-minute walk from the restaurant. By train, the restaurant is 3 minutes from Villány or Palkonya, and 30–40 minutes from Pécs or Mohács. By car from Pécs, the ideal route is via Újpetre–Palkonya.
