Wine Museum of VillányGet to know the traditional methods and means of wine making!

The Wine Museum of Villány awaits those who would like to get to know the history of the Villány Wine Region, the evolution and the most important means of grape growing and wine making all year. The building used to be once the press of the world-famous grape breeder, Teleki Zsigmond.

The programme includes

An exhibition in the building shows the process of past grape-growing and wine-making, highlighting the activity of the Telekis, and presenting the breeding of goldenrod which resists phylloxera. Photos of the cellar-row and old presses can be seen, pruning knives and pruners can be found in the containers under the glass. In the more spectacular part of the exhibition in the former cellar you can see grape-growing and cooper tools, presses from the 19th century, harvesting tools, bottle fillers, decanting and capping machines in array.
