Hotel Cabernet was opened in Villánykövesd in 1998, in one of the most beautiful settlements of the Villány Wine Region and of the German population of Baranya county. The peaceful landscape of picturesque beauty provides an excellent opportunity to relax for those who want to escape the bustling of big cities, and in the meantime it gives a great possibility to wine lovers to relax. The settlement, which is located in the north-eastern edge of the Villány Mountains, is a part of the historic wine region of Villány, and thus it belongs to the villages of the Villány-Siklós Wine Region. Hotel Cabernet is to be found in Villánykövesd, next to the world-famous cellar-row under monument protection.
Our hotel gained its present form after the renovation of an old noble mansion, so, besides meeting all requirements of modern times, it also perfectly fits into the village landscape, preserving the elegance of the past.
Undisturbed rest is guaranteed for our guests coming to Villánykövesd by the 18 double, 3 triple and 3 family bedrooms of Hotel Cabernet. A bathroom, television, telephone, Internet connection, and, in some cases, a balcony or an exit to the terrace belongs to each room of the hotel. Each room of the hotel can be equipped with an extra bed and is non-smoking. The spacious rooms of the hotel (halls, terrace, cellar restaurant, conference hall) provide comfortable stay to bigger groups of friends, as well.

The cosy cellar restaurant within our hotel provides a perfect place for wine tastings and high-quality wine dinners, harvests, or even for romantic dinners. A wine safe and a small wine cellar also belong to the restaurant where the excellent wines of our family winery are stored, and which can be tasted by our guests visiting the hotel. This wine cellar is, by the way, the first cellar of the cellar-row of Villánykövesd.
If the cellars are already closed, there is no need to worry either, as you can always sip the best wines of the Villány Wine Region in our restaurant or on our Tuscan-style terrace. Our guests can also taste the award-winning Villány red wines of our winery, Mokos Winery.
In addition to winery, the Mokos Family also grows fruit and livestock, so you can taste homemade jams made from 100% fruit, homemade stifolder, honey, or fresh fruit from the orchards in Palkonya during the hotel’s breakfast buffet. Our winery processes the fruit not only in the form of jam or grapewines, but we also make premium fruit wines, without the addition of water, colorants and aromas, from 100% of our own fruit.
